Anyone know if the mid to late arm rests with grab arm will fit earlier model?

I noticed several holes in the upper forward position of the door skin.

Also, are the door handles in the same position?

Those kind of arm rest will only fit mavs and comets from 73-77. They will not fit the 70-72 mavs. The arm rest for 70-72 are simliar to the early mustangs I think. The door handles are the same. I hope this helps.

Just put some '73-'77 doors on your car and they will fit. You'll also have the benefit of the internal side-impact bars, which were first offered in '73.

In fact, my idea of the perfect Maverick is a '71 or '72 Grabber with '73 doors...

you have to modify the early doors, there are no holes in the early door sheetmetal for the grab arm pull.

Okay, I went to a yard with 7 Mavericks and checked out all of the doors. The door pulls are moved forward and not near the arm rest. Early doors do not have the capability of retrofitting these pulls. The arm rests could be used by drilling a hole where the top fits. The early armrest will fit all doors since the slots were no changed out.

    HI,

I need some arm rest/handles for the front doors of a 73 Maverick. If it ends up you can not use the ones you have, let me know. Thanks!:yup:
