it seems after Falken posted my Maverick up on Official Top Gun Day it got tons of traction and it was probably one of the better posts they have had socially looking over stats. but especially on Instagram according what they told me. so it seems they posted another photo of my car on their Facebook... but with a controversial topic.... "Are Mavericks better then Mustangs"

    https://www.facebook.com/falkentire...11846110803/10153177454150804/?type=1&theater

    the comments are hilarious!

    i.e.:

Larry Staton "And these guys commenting r wrong...I like the Boss 302 Mavericks and a guy I went to school with had one with a 351 Cleveland and a 750 Holley. ..it was fast"

JMo Elsteinif "by better you mean slower, less agile, and needs more money to make them driveable....then yes."

    tell them what you think!!!

Had we had them in the 70's, the Maverick would have been a formidable competitor to the Mopar and GM counterparts of the day. I "almost" bought a Boss 302 crate engine in the early 70's when I had my first Grabber. They were relatively cheap, unfortunately, so was my boss at work.:(

I see so many of these newer Mustangs on the road it just seems that everyone has one - nothing unique about them:huh:

I used to have a 1971 'Supercars' magazine that my uncle gave me. It had 1/4 mile drag tests of all the 'hot' cars from all the automakers.

On the back cover or the inside of the back cover was a picture of a 'prototype' '71 1/2 Boss 302 Comet GT. Basically looked just like a '71-'72 Comet GT but had a Boss 302 motor in it.

Several years ago when I bought another house and moved that magazine along with some other old ones got lost! I have always tried to find another copy of it but haven't had any luck.

yeah but i think that guy in the post that said that thinks his friend had one with on in it. i have seen Mavericks in some very old magazines with a REAL BOSS in it. but other then that we all know even Ford guys don't know what they are talking about when it comes to Mavericks. lol
