I had to add more length to the Drake adjustable rod. It wasn't long enough to get the correct height for my new disc/disc master (also a Drake product) and the added firewall brace plate I made for the hydraulic clutch.

Here is a tip. The clip pops off the rod (like an "E" clip)
Take the clip off, and you can do all your adjusting without fear of getting the rod stuck in the master. Once everything is perfect, pop the clip back on the rod and lock it into place.

I did that years ago. Back then, the Drum/Drum master cylinder cost me only $22. I bought it just for the rod and retainer clip LOL! Worked like a charm.

Real life intruded for quite some time.

I put the "build it yourself" rod kit in today and it worked perfectly, no modifications seem to be needed. Of course, it's got only one trip around the block on it, so it might be a little early to say.

Now, before she's roadworthy, I really only have a couple of minor things to finish up and she should be a good daily driver.

Then onto cosmetics.... I'm definitely going to be redoing the interior on this thing.

I do need to track down a package tray. The previous owner was apparently a moron and never put it back in, so I have no place to mount a radio.
