Does anyone know what other models (besides more Mavs or Comets) one can find an interchangeable steering box? The Dude took his off of his 69.5/70 I6 Mav, left it in a truck a while and had his cousin take it to recycling. He'd settle for just the box, but are there any upgrade kits available that fit? He wants to eventually go rack and pinion anyway but we've no idea whether any of the Ford parts of the era would fit. For now though we'd just settle on being able to make the front wheels move when we turn the wheel. :)

    Any ideas?

ETA: it's a 200 I6 with a C4 tranny and manual steering. We have a few Mavs in the local junkyard but they're all p/s which isn't what he wants.

The power steer box doesn't take that much more effort to turn. He will need to use the manual pitman arm.
