master cylinder

    1972 maverick grabber
    Hi, on my 1972 Grabber, it has the Granda disc brake set-up. I need to push the pedal about 3/4 before the car start to slow down:( . If I stomp the pedal fast and hard it will lock the front brakes up. Can't tell if the rear lock up. What would be the best master cylinder to used for non power? I just brought the Grabber last week. I will post some pictures soon.:drive:

    Sounds to me like you may need to bleed the brakes.

    Yes, the brakes could need bleeding, or your rear brakes (yes, rear) may be out of adjustment, which can cause the same problem you described...

    The correct part number for a non-power disc Maverick is Raybestos MC36440.
