Should I get a mav gas cap and put it on my comet. I would think it wouldnt look right. But im not sure. Im not sure what the original comet gas cap looked like. So I might just let this guy sell it to one of yall and look for a comet cap if there is any difference.... As always thanks for all of yalls help and dedication to the board. I would look for a Comet cap. The Mav one wouldn't look right on there in my opinion - don't want to give the ol Comet more of an identity crisis! lol Anyway, here is a link that shows what one of the deluxe Comet caps looks like. http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=21773&highlight=comet+gas+cap Same style as the Mav cap but the emblem is the Merc crest instead of the Mav horns. There also might be other styles. Post a wanted ad for one, they seem to pop up from time to time, and also look on ebay. Price varies on condition obviously, but they seem to go for much cheaper than the Maverick deluxe caps. Good luck with the search. -Corbin
