First question is about windshields. Will four door models interchange with two doors? And will earlier models, such as 1969 1/2 to 1972(2 or 4 door) interchange with 1973 and later models, or whenever a change by year may have occurred? The other question are the doors. The door handles of the earlier models are different than the later models, so will all doors fit all models (other than 2 or 4 door) or is there differences that will not allow this. All windshields are the same. Different arm rest on the late 73's...crash beam in the later models also. Interior metal finish is smooth on the 76-77's...earlier doors have a texture finish stamped into the metal. Sometime after '74 the window regulator and glass changed.
Yes you could swap doors...but you can't swap the guts from early into late doors or late into early...and as you already know two door and 4-door are different size doors
