None of the late model stuff will bolt on without alot of fab work. Dont hold me too it but im thinking some of the 65-73 stuff will work but im not sure what all will fit.

Okay, bad news folks. You can't just bolt on a rear suspension from a mustang to a Maverick. There are a couple of reasons for this. The distance from the front spring mount to the spring perch of the rear end is about 4" different. The Mavericks are longer from front spring eye to spring perch. This means that Mustang springs would put the rear axle 4" forward from where they are supposed to be. What about 3 links? Same problem. The lower links would be too short. Also the frame rails are closer together than on a Mustang. Watts linkages, Panhard bars, etc will not fit.

So what is a person to do?

Currently, your options consist of the 3 link setup from RRS, stock style leaf springs, with traction bars, slide-a-link or CalTracks or you can back half your car and use a 4 link. Some real enterprising individual might just decide to install a Jag rear with custom machined hubs, etc., but that is way outside most of our capabilities.

I am currently working with a group of students who are trying to design a workable 3 link with coil over setup for our cars. Don't expect a working solution soon as this is just a side project for them.

If you are like most of us and on a real world budget, get new leaf springs, a sway bar and a good set of shocks. You will be supprised by the difference in handling over the worn out old stuff.

One of the members here, thack, installed front and rear Jaguar suspensions on his car. Bear in mind that he is a master fabricator by anyone's standards. This would not be for the faint of heart.:evilsmile
