I don't think the bare metal look is gonna work for me..... It will be black textured in the engine compartment.....

Today I got the air intake tube and filter location figured out..... Made the tube and got it tacked in place.....

Here I straightened the stone guard I picked up last weekend and bolted it and a grill in place(you can see how much room I will have for a filter after some more modifications).....

Here I got the intake tube made and tacked in the car(I am going to move the trans cooler a little more to the driver side to get it away from the air filter - the air filter I used is jut one I have, I am going to get a larger one to use).....

Is your car going to have AC? If so, looks like a vry tight fit -- to say the least!

I would assume he is building this car to race primarily.

    It will not have AC.....

The car will be a street/strip car..... I do like to drag race and make test passes, but I also like to drive my car quite often.....

I'm curious, are the ribbed (for lack of a better term) portions of the tubing for heat dissipation or to allow them to move a little without breaking or something more interesting that I can't think of right now?

I love seeing this beast being built, thanks for letting the rest of us watch. :thumbs2:

Nice. Is it designed to use the original hinges?

Welded the air intake tube in this morning and moved the tans cooler more to the driver side of the radiator opening..... The I trimmed the stone guard to clear the tube and bolted it back in place..... I had to clearance to bottom of the grill a little to clear the tube and I got the grill attached..... I set the hood in place and it's looking amazingly like a Comet again.....

I also got my trans shield yesterday.....
