my best friend growing up had an uncle with a 65 LTD, he would give my friend the keys to crank it and warm it up after church so me and him would sit in it listening to the glasspacked 390 and AM radio for 10 to 20 min. after every service! I know were there is a white one with fender skirts here in town but he is saving it for his grandson, hope the kid knows what he is getting, I had a 65 XL back in the mid 70's but it was pretty ragged out, rt front fender was caved in but ran and drove good, bought it for 75.00 and sold it for 350.00 about 3 months later,

You should go back to the 10.5 tires, I just think a big old car with small tires kicking butts on the race track is bad ass !!!! Thats my deam is building a galaxie with 10.5 tires and a big motor. Post some info on your motor. How much did the extra CI give you on the track.

the 521 ran about the same as the 501 but the 521 had a solid lifter cam and the 501 had a bigger roller cam .the 521 now has the same cam as the 501.i have not been to the track with this combo.the 521 is 12.7to1 cr with dove c heads. a stealth duel plane intake and a 950 hp carb. a power glide with 5500 converter. i have an extra 65 galaxie if interested

I want to see pic's of the car, can you post the more the better, I don't want to drive that far and not have an understanding on what the car is like, we have all been down that road where you drive along way and its not described in the correct condition,
