This is what I have to do: http://motor.etax.dor.ga.gov/motor/registration/homemadetrreg.asp

I have the forms all filled out and I had the second one notarized at work today. Going to drag the trailer to the tag office with me Wednesday afternoon with a drill and rivet gun and hopefully get it the VIN plate popped on and inspected an leave with a tag all in one visit. If not I'll have the cop that lives across the street from me inspect it and get the tag Thursday.

    Vin plates so fast? wow.

Ours they mail you a self adhesive foil plate w/ the serial/vin number on it.

They also suggest having it attached or etched into the trailer itself.

I have yet to put the plate on any of our homemade trailers however. As long as it has a license plate on it, and the lights work, they don't care

Well went to the tag office at 1 P.M., left there at 1:25 with the VIN plate in hand. Went home, popped it on, drug the trailer back to the tag office with me at 3 P.M., cop walked out and looked at it, fill out the paper, went back in and got the tag. That was easy.
