Need Help identifying Steering Compartment

    Can somebody please help identify this part for my 1974 ford maverick with power steering. It's part of the steering compartment box I just need to replace it because it's stripped and worn down. Any idea on were to buy it thanks in advance

    That was your steering rag joint, or coupler.

    I don't know the size. The Ford service replacement part number is D4DZ-3A525-A (I don't know the prior Ford part number).
    Should be the same as most Ford cars 1966-70, with fixed steering columns. 1971 Ford went to a larger splined steering gear box that was a size up from what the Mavericks used. There is a replacement 'rag' that you can get from NPD, Auto Crafters, etc for repairing the Mustang fixed steering column rag joint. I am sure that there are a few guys on here that have a good used spare from a parts car.
