Won my ebay bid for one Blue Street Beast and one Green Street Beast. $.99 for both cars, $6 for shipping. So $7 for the two cars. Not great, but hey I don't have to go back to Kmart. Nothing against Kmart in general, just mine.

So now I have 3 blue street beast. Anyone need one? If you are going to be in Nashville (Knoxville next weekend), just let me know and it is yours.

    Prefan,

That bigger yellow one ... is that Tonka? Pretty cool  Might have to find one of them.

I remember having a dune buggy like that, don't recall the brand though.

I can answer that one since I have two of them. Yep, it's Tonka. :)

It's a pullback action Tonka. They aren't that rare but they are hard to find. Nobody knows they are Mavericks. I found this one listed as a Tonka Camaro. This winter I got interested in old Hot Wheels, mainly 1967-1971. My fiance got me a nice case that I put a few of them in. Last count I have 150 Hot Wheels from 1967-1980. I had to stop because the shipping was killing me...usually higher than the car itself. It still hasn't warmed up enough here to start on my real car again but this weekend is looking promising.

That is interesting hearing that it was mis-labeled. Might have to search accordingly.

Nice display case, especially like the fact that it is lit.

That's funny! I'm 40 and my mom still buys me toys! I think it's so I'll leave the kids alone when we open Christmas presents...

Hey I had one of those pull back tonkas as a kid. Forgot all about it till i saw that pic. Love that feeling you get when you see an old familiar toy you used to have. (y) Now I'll have to look for one.

I've got a sick dog that I had to take off work to watch today so I've been working on this. A 64 Thunderbolt that I'm redoing like a 1968 Hot Wheels Spectraflame red "Custom Thunderbolt". I even got a new set of redlines. I want it to look like what it would've if HW build one in 68.

To get the Spectraflame look you have to strip the body and polish it. Then use a tinted clear. Mine came out a little darker than I wanted but this is sort of a practice run. I plan on doing a new Maverick like an old redline. Maybe a redline Mighty Maverick look on the new Grabber. :thumbs2:

speaking of thunderbolt's, i just got 2. (1) is a 2001 edition black with red interior. has the name ROBERT FORD HOMER on the doors. (2) is a flamin' edition, dark green with the number"1" on the hood and hot wheels logo on the roof. it is dated 03.

very cool, but i dig the black one more!
