I think it looks pretty good with clear windows and some chrome-wheeled real riders, too.

Sorry but I've got three of them already and mine are black. Or rather charcoal black because they do have a heavy metallic in the paint which kills the rich black color. These are definitely not blue so you may have come across one of the older blue ones.

I haven't counted mine lately but I probably have at least 125 Hot Wheels Mavericks. I try real hard to stop at 10 of each color but if I see one it just sticks to my hand for some reason. Rather than getting arrested for stealing a .97 cent car I just go ahead and pay for it. Yeah, I know...I have a problem. But there are much worse things I can blow my fortune on. :)

I found the black and yellow one at Meijer last night. Now have them all except the treasure hunt. Will have to break down and get it off of eBay.

Did you find the black one individually packed?

Nope, it was in the nine-count pack. There was another there but didn't feel like spending another $10 to get it.

$10 is a pretty cheap birthday present for the grandkids or young nephews nowadays. I picked up a couple of them, swapped out the Maverick with something else and nobody but me knows. :)

I found 3 of the 9 car sets at a Target and figured the same thing - the Grandson loved the set minus the Maverick :)
