I have the huge bumper that comes factory for my 73 mav. I was wondering where I could buy a new bumper that is smaller like the older mav's. Also where could i get a front spoiler at as well? Any help would be appreciated.

p.s. I've looked around on ebay and couldn't find anything.

They are not reproduced anywhere and are getting harder to find. Only place is at swap meets or maybe someone here can sell you one.

You can go to a small bumper like on a 72 & down but you have to change brackets, bumper, gravel pan, and lower pan. However I think a 73 looks good. The bumper is not much larger than the 72's down, (but its not my car). The front spoiler you can buy at MAS racing products for $49.00, or that what I payed for mine a few months ago.

...may be willing to sell you one.

I drove 2 hrs. to pick mine up at a show. They
were bringing me some already chromed.

Before I went I asked how much they were
giving me on the trade-core charge.
They were only allowing $15 each and did not
    require them.

    I left those heavy ^&*#@ '74-up bumpers
at home rather than lugging them around
Lowes Motor Speedway to save $30.

I can't speak highly of their chroming quality.
    But, they had them.

Oh, and I switched to '73 bumpers.

    They are in California.

    http://www.bumperboyz.com/

There were 4 different front bumpers for these cars.
There were 2 different rear bumpers.

The '70-'72 Maverick bumper is the first front bumper.
In '71 the Comet came out and the '71-'72 front bumper
for that car is the same size as the '70-'72 Maverick, but
it is different in shape. Both follow the contour of the grill
and the grills are not the same shape.

The '73 bumper is the same for both cars.
In '73 the front bumper is larger than previous years, but
not nearly as large as the '74-'77 bumper. In addition the
'73 has the lower valence panel-it is different than the
earlier years. That panel disappeared when the HUGE
    bumpers showed up in '74.

The rear bumper is the same for both cars. It was the same
    for '70- or '69.5 -'73 Mavericks and '71-'73 Comets.
In '73 both cars had new rear bumper brackets that
set the bumper away from the car a bit. They also added a
piece of rubber filler to fill the gap on the corners with the
    new offset.

From '74 on both cars used the same heavy bumpers with
no valence panels, front or rear.

    I hope that this helps.

    Seth
