but i just wanna make sure before i tackle the job. i have a 72 maverick and i'm puttin an explorer rear under her. i've got a 75 parts maverick with the disc fronts and i am going to put the front spindles and stuff on mine...i just wanna make sure if they just bolt into place and what other work i'll have to do...like i'm going to change the brake resevoir but is there anything else? thanks Rooster
not a direct bolt in... do a search on...explorer 8.8...and you should find all the mods to be done. ...:Handshake...
front brakes a direct bolt in. Just take ALL the brake stuff, and steering linkage off the donor car.includes master and proportioning valve. Tag every port on the valve so there is no mix ups. As frank said about 8.8
ive already researched the 8.8 and started that project. i know what its gonna take to do that. i was just wondering about the front brakes part. i just havent had a chance to pull the wheels of the 75 and look to see if the assembly is any different or not
yup, front ones will bolt on. i always recommend changing the tie rod ends as well because of the different taper on disc brake cars, and they're $10/each at autozone part number ES-445R
ok nice..im excited about doin it. although im gonna buy my parts from advanced auto cuz i still get my 20% employee discount
