Dave you already got a big shop there, anything bigger and you are talkin warehouse, but I wish you much luck getting it done.
In all fairness though, this is a business. I wish I had a personal hobby shop this big. As construction businesses go, this is a very small shop.
Depending how high your walls are, come out with a 4ft ledge about 8ft up or so on your inside wall, all the way arround the perimeter of your shop. Then mount 1iinch conduit with lag screws to the face, and preformed 90's for the corners. Then get a old damaged aluminum extension ladder cut to size. Then use a 2 inch angle with sprung casters mounted on the bottom. For the top get 4 lLARGE vinyl patio door type rollers with a radius large enough to rest on the conduit. Then mount in a bracket with the rollers mounted on each side of the conduit,(top and bottom of conduit). When you step on the ladder it locks firm with the floor. Dont forget a handle too. Sounds complicated but isnt. Just like the old library ladders. Be amazed at how much STUFF you dont need that uses precious floor space. Air-compressor, furnace etc.If ya got a fork-lift, youre really set too. A neighbor of mine has his this way, SMART set-up. Then you can dedicate certain areas underneath for certain tools and such. I like the fact you can put overhead lighting in your work areas right above your head, and dedicate areas with switches, instead of the whole shop being lit up$$ Gonna do my new shop like this. its a great set-up. That is if we dont have a revolution on our hands after NOVEMBER. Regards. Al
