Opionions on the best V8 donar car to use

    Opinions on the best V8 donor car to use

    Hello my 1971 mav , grabber is in the shop right now. I am exploring the option of putting in a V8 as well as using the gas tank from the donor car to facilitate dual exhaust,(present gas tank is not centered in rear.)
    Just wondering what kind of donar car would be best, pros and cons of different cars,

    Also the mechanic told me that this car was never equiped with three on the tree style shifter, but I believe this to be incorrect? I was sure the 1970 grabber had it maybe not in '71?

    a v8 maverick or commet will the be best to get v8 stuff from. as for the fuel tank, there are some tech articals (i think you need to make 10 posts before you can see them) on puting in a mustang tank that give you more room for dual exhast.
