overheating

    im looking at buying a new radiatior because i have a 302 in my 1970 ford maverick with the i6 radiator still in use. but i keep hearing about aluminum vs standard radiators. what are some price differences and some of the pros/cons of using alluminum.

    Aluminum is lighter than a copper/brass rad...Aluminum can withstand more pressure than c/b for a given material thickness. Aluminum rejects heat more easily than c/b rad (surface area has to increase though) This is why aluminum rads have bigger tubes than c/b rads. As for cost: They can be comparable but depending on manufacturer you can find deals on price either way you go. Champion seems to be the radiator of choice here (Good choice) since they make a mav specific one at a good price...
