how hard is it to put a 300 in a mav? my friend down the road is pulling the 300 out of his truck and he offered it to me, has 88,000 miles on it.

If its not possible to put a 300 in easily what parts are interchangeable? He said I could strip it of whatever is on it, so I want to take everything off I can before he hauls it off to scrap.

The 300 is a big block. I don't think anything will fit from it on a small block six. The 300 can be made to fit a Maverik but it won't be easy.

    That sucks :(

The alternator, fuel pump, carb, or anything else wont interchange?

Would it be worth the effort to clean it up and sell it?

The external accesories will adapt - alternator, fan, and perhaps the carb is adaptable. The engine specific accesories, fuel and oil pumps water pump etc., will not.
