Thanks for keeping us up to date on these bars. I cant wait to see what these bars are going to feel like.
Chris, Thanks again for all the work. I hope you get it in time and do well in the competition. In your experience, do you think the stock frame mounts will be strong enough to deal with the added forces? I have been debating adding some metal while I have the opportunity to do so. Thanks, Micah
I think the stock mounts are pleanty strong. I however plan on making the frame mount adjustable though to keep the end link position verticle as its adjusted. So when I adjust my bar from one position to the next, I'll move the end link and also the frame mount.
How many of us just read that and cringed a little thinking now Chris is gonna rip out one of the mounts?
You know... I have soo many ideas I forget which are keepers and which are not. This one was not a keeper now that I REALLY think about it. I am going to make multiple lower end link tabs on the LCA instead.
Wow, I almost forgot about these......not really, plus I've been politely reminding them on their Facebook page....
Chris, I will stand behind you all the way. This was one sway bar that was unknown until you put it into action. This would have been better if you owned Addco. tiphat:
Alrighty! We have progress. LOL The new bar arrived on Monday but I didnt open the box till Wednesday. Just been too busy working on the car and installing other parts. The bar finally looks the way it should. I mounted it up yesterday morning and it fits. Its a good thing too as the bar Im currently using wont fit with my new shocks. It still needs some adjusting though. The end link holes are now too far back to have a complete verticle link in even the most forward hole. What a coincidence. John just called as I was typing this. Im going to send him another photo of what needs to be done and that should be it. The trick is going to be making the request for an unmodified Maverick. My suspension is mostly stock as its designed to bolt on and be compatible with the factory sway bar. The only difference is I am likely running more caster than most here. Therefore my requested endlink position may be slightly off for someone else. I've also slotted my frame mounting holes to allow more fore/aft adjustment of the bar. I'd recommend doing the same to anyone to fine tune your fitment. In addition, I asked john about accepting more orders. He said yes but they have to be in before the bar design is finalized. So if you want one give him a call. International shipping is available but you'll have to talk to John about it as you will be billed directly for the actual shipping costs.
Chris, Thanks a lot buddy. I'm going to send him an email about my situation and ask further information about shipping costs.
Not that I need mine installed right away.. but I'm just wondering where we ended up here. Any new-news on these?
