Problem!!!

    when I went shopping for new rims Jeff and I went to Summit. all the cragars we looked at were...junk. a lot of the welds were missing and some that were there were missing the seam where they were supposed to be welded together...the weld was beside the seam...

    ...I would suggest to anyone having these rims to check ALL the welds...

    Cragar SS's have never been what I'd call quality. If you don't take the time to clean em once a week, the chrome will rust(on the steel rim) and peel off the (cast aluminum)centers. You can take 40 year old aluminum slots and spend a few minutes with em and an SOS (or Brillo)pad and have new looking wheels, once the SS's start to go, there's no hope for em, other than a can of semi gloss black paint.

    I would have to agree......you do have to keep them cleaned and waxed. Just part of the charm I suppose. :D

    Waxing...every week sounds like slave labor to a rim. I am so gonna find a rim I like and clear powder coat the beasts..lol
