    Hi All,
My son has a 75 Maverick. I want to install rack and pinion steering in,
can this be done and what do I need to buy to accomplish this project.
He has a new rebuilt 302 motor and automatic transmission.
    Thanks, Bigsmo

The only way to get a rack to work on a mav properly is to go to a Mustang II style front suspension.Racks for older mustangs are made but wont work on a mav(too wide) way too much bump steer in em.Do a search on here for M II suspension upgrades and you will see whats involved.

Don't forget about the RRS USA bolt-in rack that came out a while back. It does not require an MII suspension. I know somebody that's installing one now, with a TCP front-end that worked with the stock steering components.

I bought a car with it installed. Go to the new member section and look for 1971460Maverick for some pictures.
