I have an opportunity to buy a n.o.s. rad cradle that is supposed to be for a Mav/Comet. It had a some Ford dealer documents still on it pertaining to the shipping of this part. In a space marked "part nimber" it showed the following; 05DZ Can anyone tell me if this is a valid number for a Mav/Comet rad cradle, and what years it would fit? The fellow selling it thought it was only for a '74-'77. Thanks for any input. John B.
I am guessing you mean a radiator support. Can you see this part in person. Here is a picture of an NOS support for comparison. I think Granada's used similar part numbers in the later years to be careful it isn't a Granada part .. A part number D5DZ-16138-B is for a Maverick ... perhaps that O5 above is really a D5 ...
