Hi i am a new owner of a 77 comet with an inline 6. The radiator is completely shot, its the only thing keeping me from driving it right now. Are there any other radiators that are interchangeable? Is it possible for me to find something close to the came size, and fabricate new trans cooling lines?

^I agree. By the time you find a good core and have it reconditioned youll have as much if not more than what a new aluminum cost. And itll never be as efficient as the aftermarket one.

    Really?

You can get a core around here from the junk yard for about $20, and the local radiator shops charge $100 to clean it out and put a new top tank on. Aluminum radiator's cost more than that, don't they? Or have they come down?

There are alum radiators on eBay right now that are a direct bolt in for less than $200 shipped.
