rear bumper guard assemble part number

Does anyone have the correct part number for the rear bumper guard assembles for a 1975 comet???Thanks Arnea

 

D4DZ-17984A Guard and pad unit..same left or right side for 74-77 big bumper Comet. Orig cost was around $41.00 each in crash book.

 

Thanks Tom: I was able to get 2 bumper guards from Dennis Carpenter with that part number and they don't fit..Thanks for verifying this for me...Arne

 

I assume your car still has the orig.bumpers, might have been changed to the small version like lots of these guys like. I like the big bumper version or 73 bumpers... You might want to post a picture of your bumpers and let other look... I was told when I got my car I got rear guards(in box), fronts were already on, turn out it was another set of fronts, the backs are smaller and not angle cut..

 

Wherer did you find the ones from D. carpenter???

 

I located the parts through parts voice. It has been so cold here in NJ lately that I haven't pursued it further. The car is a 75 Comet with the large bumpers. The bumper guards may be for the front and not the rear. Then the part number maybe incorrect????Arne

 

I get you picture of each front and back...I'm still looking for rear set also....

 

I rechecked the part numbers, that is correct one for rear 74-77...here are some pictures, you can see the fronts have angle to them, the rear are about 33% small and straight and fit either side. Let me know if you find some. TOM
