    Are the Rear Ends the same on 71's and 75's? And are they 8"? And what is the gear ratio 3.0?

    I'm looking to change the gears, everyone here seems to say 3.55 if running an AOD. I hope that's right. I don't want to spend the money if I don't need too.

    1972 Maverick Grabber - Color: Orange Also, 1976 Ford Maverick 4-door, 1977 Mercury Comet 2-door.
    The '71 and the '75 would be the same if they are 5-lug. The only difference would be the gear ratio. Both 1971 and 1975 have either 2.79:1 or 3.00:1.
