I had a '77 Pinto with the factory 6 cyl. I just wished it was a standard shift instead of the automatic. It's kinda like a Maverick Jr.

Guys Pintos stopped having exploding gas tanks, when the 5 mile per hour bumprs were added.. by the way I have a friend who was barely tagged in the rear of his ... Maverick
and it burst into flames.. the year of Mav 1971... little known fact Mavs had similar problems, I had a 1980 pinto wagon, great car ... and Awsome on Ice and snow. the wagons extra weight made the difference, by the way It was the bumpers that were the problem. the mounting bolts acted like a firing pin, smack BOOM. just a little trivia

Why do they always have to do that, My heart skipped a beat when I saw this Carls Jr. commercial. I am getting tired of seeing this, I mean it can be funny every now and then but that is only when it is on Dukes of Hazzard. Why don't they take one of those "Rice burners" and do something crazy to them, but nooo they have to pick a Maverick.

    I agree

Yeah I know Carls Jr. Sux especially the new Green Burrito/ Carls Jr. They are popping out of no where, I mean other then the paris hilton commercial everything else they make sucks. But what I really like and you can find them nation wide is Wendys (mmmmm 99 cent chilli cup). But what really pisses me off is that they don't even know how valuable mavericks are. I live in Anaheim and I see restored cars all day long, but I am one of four people in Orange County that have a maverick that is in decent or perfect shape. I can't even go to work (Disneyland Resort) without people honking at me admiring my car, and what the sad part is they think since I am so young I didn't restore that my dad did. But what they don't know is I have done most of all the work in that car and actually I would pick an old muscle car anyday over a rice rocket. (y)

It almost sounds and looks like this carls jr place is Hardees with a diffrent name. Kind of like Checkers down here is called Rallys up north.

    Hardees
    Carls Jr

I never have liked Hardees much. :)

That is exactly what it is, Its like it is the same exact food franchise but different names on the east and west coast. I heard there are several different places here on the west coast that have a different name on the east coast. But to me I likes all burgers no matter if it is west coast or east coast just give me some fry sauce and or some sour cream and I am all good.
