I looked through my emails today and saw this months edition of the Ford Performance News. At the bottom was my Maverick. I was certainly surprised. I had submitted before. This time, I titled my email with the question "Why do you hate the Maverick?" I question why would they reuse the Maverick name for the new pickup but never show any old Mavericks. I went on to explain that they only do articles about the Mustang. I must have struck a chord. For the most part, they copied what I had submitted to this site. So, a little love for the Maverick from Ford:

That is awesome. Love the history. Very much like the transformation of that Maverick.

Absolutely stunning and a top notch resto-mod job. This qualifies as jaw dropping work!

Only thing I don't care for are the huge wheels, but to each his own-- I've always felt 16 and 17" wheels never look right on a Maverick. Just too much wheel for the profile of the car. It's just a matter of personal taste I suppose.

Regardless, this is just an amazing job on a car with a very special provenance in your family. You should be very proud of the results and your family for not selling the Maverick and keeping it in the family.

    Best Wishes!
