    Wow, that is just weird. Why would the manufacture think it was a good idea to switch the white and red wires at the plug? Guess now I have to decide if I am going to switch them back at the plug......

    Your issue started the marble spinning in the bowl. I was fairly sure Ford boffed the wiring colors, why I made the post about having a diagram that should be correct. Of course without diagram, I had no proof.

    Ya hafta wonder when/why Ford switched the red & white wires.

    A '76 Diagram shows connections color for color, with white/blue being ign power.
    If that's case D-I & D-II modules are not swappable.

    A '86 Canadian Duraspark diagram shows red/blue to white & red/green to red(ign power).

    All info taken from Ford's EVTM diagrams.
