Thanks to everyone who took the time to respond. I`ve decided
to go with the Victor Jr`s. I m gonna just bolt `em on the 306 and go... Then later on when I build the 393 I`ll take them to
Killians head porting and have them maxed out. :D

Call "Active Engines" in Georgia when you get a chance. They can give you a good idea of how much performance you can get out of the Victor Jr's. By the way, I love mine!!!:D

Just remember it will take some rpm to make them work on the 302.

Comet Gt 1974 ,what headers are you running? I`ve got Hooker 6901`s they have 1 5/8 tubes ,will they be big enough for the Victor jr.s?

    Headers

My buddy has 1 5/8 headers on his 302 with victor jrs, Its a high 10 low 11 sec car turns it 7500rpm plus. They will work fine on a small motor

Actually, the answer is no.....the 1 5/8" headers are too small for the Victor Jr's but us Maverick/Comet guys don't have many other options. I actually ended up porting my headers:rolleyes: , I know that sounds crazy but I opened them up as much as I could without weakening the weld joint. I have priced a set of custom made 1 7/8" headers and prices range from $1200 - $1500 (coated). I am running the hedman 88300 and it does the job but the headers are the weakest link in my setup!!
