How do I know what seats will fit in my Maverick? Will just about any Ford seat fit? My dad and I were going to go to look for some at a junk yard, but I don't want to get a set and then they not fit... I tried searching for a similar thread, but couldnt find one... sorry if this has already been asked!
There is basically no limit to what seat you can make fit. Being that your car is a 72 it won't have the humps for catalatic converter, which will make your life that much more easier. I have a seat out of a 92 Grand AM rigged in ours until we can get the other seat. The front 2 mounts bolt to the factory drilled holes in the floor, but it sits kinda funky. Would need some fine adjusting. Not to hard to drill new holes to make any seat fit.
I agree you can make almost any seat fit I've 88' power grand marquis seats in my 62' ford 1 ton and escort buckets in my 78' 3/4 ton ford "late 80's and early 90's escort bucket seats are really comfortable and easy to find."
I have a question what bucket seats can i put in to a 77 mave. with the humps for catalatic converter? and What can I do about it????
