I'm going to start restoring my 1970 maverick and I have a few questions. One problem I have right now is the right front fender apron where the battery sits is rotted out from battery acid, and I was wondering what year mustang front apron would work as a replacement? Another question I have is about floor pans. Since none are being reproduced at this time, what year mustang floor pans would work with little modification for the 1970 maverick? Another thing I have a question about is the fuel tank. Mine is leaking and rusted and I was looking at the 1969-70 mustang fuel tank and I saw where the tank is wider than the stock maverick but a little narrow, plus I have some trunk rust I want to get rid of and was wondering if anyone have used the trunk panels from the 69-70 mustang to fit the 69-70 fuel tank into the maverick? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Take a look here for the apron, http://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb...~S4L71FFBBN96412125918o~Z5Z5Z5~Z5Z5Z50001018o . For the floor pans, use the early Mustang pieces, they will fit OK but do need some massaging to fit. Can't help you on the trunk and tank.
