Shock tower cut

    1972 mercury comet with a maverick front end. It has a 1992 5.0 motor in it.
    Well my motor is at the machine shop so i started on the towers today. No turning back now..............

    i done mine on my '73 Grabber when i first bought it. maybe one of these days ill drop an engine in the car to enjoy them :rolleyes:

    If you look at the last pic from the front, i think the bottom of the tower im going to angle it down. Maybe give some more room. I dont think it will interfear with anything.

    Here's an idea to throw a wrench into your project!;)

    Why not do an Arning Drop on the upper arm while you have it apart?
    That way your suspension will be a whole 'nother inch lower, and therefore you may even be able to shave lower when you are done.:huh:

    Just a thought.
    I think the drop is a must mod for our cars, even more so than shaving the towers or putting SFCs. So what a perfect time to do the drop as when the engine is out and you are shaving the towers....

    It does look very good though!
    I only hope mine turn out as well when I get around to it!
