I have some rust on the floorboards, gonna POR-15 over that and looks like I'm going with fatmat. I don't want to get the Lowe's or Home Depot stuff and have to bear that smell. $80 is not bad at all compared to dynamat.
I por-15 the entire floor, inside doors, inside quarter panels, fenders, etc. Then used that aluminum covered bubble wrap that someone mentioned way up in this thread. The $15 a roll stuff. I used 2 rolls, with plenty left over. Then carpeted over it. I was afraid the bubbles would pop when I put pressure on them, but surprisingly, they have not. And the aluminum on both sides keeps the heat out. I used 3M spray adhesive, which was a bit strong for a few days, but then just smelled like "new car smell".
