I believe staggered shocks did not appear on any Mustang or Maverick until 71 so I'd say 71-73 Mustang. Then it probably makes a difference whether it is a 9" or 8" because of the tube diameter.

Unless your talking front, then 64-73 are all the same.

well just an fyi mustang ones are the same. however it you do get ones with poly bushings in them expect the car to gain about 1/4 of an inch easy.

Gain means sit up 1/4 of any inch. This is not good. My car sits perfect. My front end kit didn't have those perches in it. I have to order some. To lower the car any more I have to cut the springs. That might change the spring rate.:slap:
    Maverick Man, is this right!

you got it or it will sit up more then 1/4! you'll have to step up form a 600 to a 620 or a 620 to a 650. get a pre-settled spring!

or i guess the only other way are drop spindels.. but i'm not ready to pay that for them.

Hey Guys how 'bout this. 73 Grabber with a 351C and stock 302 front springs. I want to raise the front by 3 inches using a set of new coil springs. I didn't want to get into any type of lift kit if I don't have to. Will something from a mustang or etc. work to get the lift I want?

    Where'd ya get em?

I haven't had much luck with the local parts stores even shoing them on the books. Do I need to go to somewhere like Mustangs Unliminted and just get 'em for the same year Mustang? What's the going rate for them? I've got the front end apart now for new upper balljoints, shafts, lowering, etc.

Brad; I went to Melvins, in Conyers, and got spring perches and insulators for a 1972 Mustang. The perches were about $30 each, and the rubber insulators were about $5 each. The poly insulators are slightly higher. The perches fit perfectly, and made the car quieter and rode much better. Give them a call (770) 761-6800. BTW, are you coming to the FFW mini-meet this year?
