i was going thru a Mustang catalog and the Parts America (Advance Auto) website just to do some price checking and interchange-able parts between the Mav and Stangs. so far, ive noticed almost everything is the same from 68-73. obviously the 65-66 had a smaller platform, and '67 seems to be an oddball but for example, the 68-73 upper and lower control arms interchange with the maverick/comet and several others as well. I also noticed that Mustangs unlimited is offering a lower ball joint.... not the whole control arm but just a replacement ball joint, like the upper. here's the link....

im almost positive this would be something that would interchange with the Maverick, considering they both have the same design and lower control arm to boot. but i just thought i would share some of this info to other that didnt know. and if you need suspension parts and are on a budget like the rest of us :D, i'd suggest a Mustang parts house since their prices seem to be alot lower than the local Advance or Autozone.

Hope this helps someone..... it will help me :thumbs2:

Make sure when you are shopping online or on Ebay to be looking at "apples for apples" parts. Some places carry lesser price items but are the lesser warranty ones, too.

Advance carries 2 grades of suspension parts, currently TRW, soon to be Moog, and has lifetime warranty and one year warranty parts. They will also price match any legitimate business, even their own Parts America, at the local locations. At least, we do, and I think that is a companywide policy.

I was simply adding to your post and talking in general, as you were, not specific to you. You sound knowledgeable enough without help. I currently work as a Mgr with a Law size Advance store myself.

You sounded irritated. I was merely trying to help other people here so that they could get the best deal, not ruffle your feathers.
