You should feel how it pulls when the breather is flipped and the a/c is turned off! (or was that already done?)

    Rick,

We are having our 2nd Annual GCC Car Show in Katy on October 18. We are having a Maverick Class since I am heading up the show. I would really like to see Buttercup there. Doug's DragonFly will be there also. Maybe we can get Ed (Fan2488) to find a driver for Buttercup. I am not trying to hijack this thread since I will be at the Waco Meet but if Buttercup does not make it to Waco maybe we can get her to Katy.

    Ed

The more Mavericks the merrier at BOTH shows!!

I don't know about you all, but I'm getting a little anxious....4 weeks and getting closer!

Hey, Rick: Why don't you just drop down and surprise us in Buttercup yourself!

Stop that! I need all the time I can get.

    Still left to do:

Install radiator and e.fan (need to fab up a mounting system and wire the e.fan)
    finish building the center console
install front end of motor (timing cover, brackets, a/c....)
    get A/C working
    mount seats
    install interior, radio, gauges...
    mount front speakers
    and more....

To both Ed's: "Buttercup" is nothing special (I didn't say that, D) but she would love to make it to either or BOTH events. PM me if either wants to pursue it any further.

There's no doubt that I miss the Maverick-mania the most while over here. Have fun guys!

I've added some additional information to the original post including:

    • A flyer with details about the show
    • The registration is ONLY $10 not $20 as I had said!
    • The Maverick/Comet Club International is providing dash plaques for the participating cars
    • There will be free hot dogs and cold drinks!
    • If you don't want to enter your car, you can park it for free in the "not showing" area.
    • Pictures of past mini-meets

Pre-registration isn't necessary. In fact, I don't think they are offering it. (You can check their website). They had said very few registered early in the past. You can just register at the show.

John: it will be great to have you at the show either way!
