    i have a questions ,my comet 1971 have a c-4 transmissions and i think change this and instal aod trans,what part i nedd to this changes,transs crossmenber,tv cable,etc,thnaks for a helph:hmmm:

    you will need the correct flex plate for your motor, if you are using the 71 motor you need to get a 28 oz balance flexplate that will mate up to the AOD, make sure you dont get the 50 oz flexplate.....

    Frank (71Gold) on here sells the tranny crossmember for the AOD in the Maverick.:)

    i think the AOD uses a 164 tooth flex plate at least mine did. also their are very finicky make sure you get the cable adjusted right or you will fry the tranny. that what i did to mine :). i just modified my tranny cross member but i would recommend buying the one on here so you can change back if you want to.
