I know what you're saying about expensive - I was fortunate enough when a friend, that I worked with back in the late 90's, took a trip to a junkyard and came back with a Maverick Grabber trunk lid with the spoiler still attached and the corner pieces - he said "I wasn't sure if you wanted this stuff but if you do I need 25 bucks for it" - I couldn't get the money out of my wallet fast enough :yikes:

There is nothing like the "Real Thing" when it comes to these pieces. I bought a set of carbon fibre pieces from that guy in California when he first came out with them .. A spoiler and the end pieces.. He sent " bolts " for the end pieces .. I tossed them and picked up some double threaded studs and installed them onto the pieces .. Lining up the holes with the pieces before the studs was a futile waste of time till I installed the studs .. Then when I installed the long spoiler piece on the deck I had everything painted .. the spoiler warped badly and it looked like a mass of waves..
It's still hanging up on my wall.. I found an ORIGINAL set and they're on my Comet now .. for a great number of
years now .. Stick with the ORIGINAL if possible..or if you're talented enough to make your own ..you are probably
    ahead of it .

I think they look fine. Better than the ones I'm fabricating out of Sheet Metal. 20150127_155652.jpg
