Are your tires rubbing on the outside at all?

Also, how much space do you have on the inside before the tires would rub on the leaf spring?

Have you ever tried a 275/60 in there? Seems like a lot of room still left.

I don't think so. I'm running 275's on now mine but with 15X10" Centerlines with 4 1/2 back space. No problem on inside but an occasional rub on the outside. I'm going to drop down to 15X8 Weld Draglites. I wanna get rid of the rub (minor tire damage) and considered going with 255's but don't really want to. I'm running 4:30 gears which work well with the 275's. I'm afraid the 255's are gonna change the gear too much on me. I'm just wondering if the 8" wheels might tuck the tires in a bit more. These 10" one really push the side walls out a lot.

So would P225 75R15 be too big for the front? I have a line on some nice rims and tires from a mid 70's dodge police interceptor... I know the rims fit but I was worried about the front tires being too tall and rub on the fender when turning.

biggest up front with no mods with no rubbing would be a 235-60-15 245-60s might have slight rubbing at full lock with a stock 15x7 with 4.25 bs
so a jump to 4.5 bs or some front trimming will counteract that.

245-60-15 rear is a definate fit with no rubbing issues
may get away with 255-60 on a stock 7in

yea you need a taller tire in the back..

    195-75-14 = 25.52x7.68
    195-60-14 = 23.21x7.68
if you flop the 60s to the front it'll look aight but i think it's still too low

I personally think your car and wheel/tire setup in the picture looks great. I think going to a Cragar SS, if that's where you're going, would be a step backward. I would suggest just lowering it about an inch in the back and 2 or 2-1/2" up front. Just my opinion. Also, you'll get tighter handling with that engine closer to the ground. Of course, then you have to worry about steep curb cuts and such . . . :p

I switched out to 16x7 wheels all around with 215/60R-16 on back and 205/50R-16 on front. The ride is not as nice but it's tighter. One more thing I noticed is that the ruts in the road tend to pull you around a bit more if you have the lower profile tire. Maybe it's just me?
