Trans Pan Broken Bolt!

    So its not the spring or anything like that but I was told that if it overflowed it can cause the transmission to start in different gears and such, that is what was exactly happening to mine! It was also said that the same thing could happen if the fluid is under filled! Before I do anything with it, does anyone know how many Qts. I have to put in the a stock 3-speed c4 auto. trans.? I read the owners manual and it said 8 but both removing the old oil and adding the new had about 3 Qts., so how much should it really be filled?

    Fill it till the dipstick says full... Otherwise you drain converter and pan then fill with amount stated...

    A little low or overfull by a pint makes no difference(I don't care what you read) but at a quart low it will slip...

    That's the problem when I put the 3 Qts. in the oil level was illegible but after I took out the hoses from the radiator, for another reason, some trans oil came out and it read between the two lines that is why I ask!
