That dude has some GIANT GONADS to be doing that very impressive motor too! Takes some serious HP to make that happen.
Yes the main reason for my interest in the video and for posting it here was not to applaud the guy for his crazy driveing, but to show the performance level of the car.
It doesnt take "Giant Gonads" to do that speed... Just a 6 speed Just kidding, it only takes ignorance. we've all been stupid on the street at some point, most of us learned, or got it out of our system before screwing up. Now i've been known to "punch" it on a desolate interstate, but I take it to the track now... It only took one ticket, $1k, a pissed off judge, and threat of a few nights in jail to stop that crap for me. but, M.A.V. - the wipers are pretty funny lol
I've been over 140 for over 20 miles with lights and sirens. I think it looked closer to 164 kph or just over 100 MPH still not very smart in all that traffic.
No way he is going that fast. The fastest I have gone is 168 mph in my 2006 vette. After 150 mph the car still wants to go like crazy, but too many things can happen at that speed and that is when I get scared. I would never go that fast with traffic that is stupid. I would say he is only doing about 100 mph. At faster speeds he would be passing traffic like it was standing still. And if you notice he stays with traffic at first at around 80 to 85.
210 Kph is only 126 mph.... Ive done that fast in many stock cars - one was a '58 dodge and another was a 65 Mustang. Yes it was on the street and yes I was stupid and young.
No way that's as fast as he's claiming. His speedometer is off or something.. Sure sounds awesome though, reminds me of riding in Russ' car when he had the turbo motor in it. I've had mine up to 120 with an internally stock 200 6 cylinder. Granted it was down a big hill with a tail wind on I-985 when I was running late for work one morning. But the steering gets real loose and you can feel the front of the car lifting up at those speeds and the hood starts hovering at the back. You can really feel it when you go over a bump or a dip in the road going that fast, car takes an exaggerated amount of time to settle back down.
At those speeds (however fast he was traveling) he was having to work the steering wheel way too much for me to feel comfortable. For that reason alone mine will not have the stock power steering when it hits the road again.
I think most of us have tales of extremely high speeds in our late teens and early twenties. Those happened during the period of our life called the stupid years. 'Nuff said.
what I always referred to as the "Balls vs. Brains" scenario. when you're young and stupid, you have much bigger balls. as you age, your brain gets bigger and self preservation begins to be more important as you realize you aren't really bulletproof. (hope this isn't to inappropriate, if it is I'll remove it)
