umm....> Rear discs??

    NO not Discus! what should i get the rear discs off of at the pull-a-part to fit my 73 mav?? anyone done this without bookoo's-O-cash?

    Minimal modding on my part. I had already planned on lowering my car 2" so I didn't have to elongate the bolt holes as described in the writeup. All I had to do was grind the rear of the bracket flat (remove some casting) and bolt them up. It was virtually a bolt on deal. It took more time installing and re-flaring brake lines than it did installing the components. Franks writeup (in the link he posted) was the guide I used to do my swap. Get the components, print out the writeup, get on the floor in the garage with some tools and a grinder, and in about an hour you'll be done(with the install portion).

    I see no one's even thought about the 90's Crown Vic discs. These are supposedly a near bolt on swap for the 8" rears.

    the CVs i looked at have 1 cali. mounted front of the rotor the other to the back...my Linc. are both to the rear.:yup:

    also have a 73 mav and am planning on doing the conversion tomorrow if all the parts can be found...front conversion is already done..does anyone have picts of the difference of the lincoln vs the explorer? does the explorer have to be the 8" or will the 8.8 alsdo work? dont know but am just trying to find other year vehicles that will also work in case the explorer parts cant be found...thanks matt
