I just got a set of disk brakes from a 1975 maverick to go on my 69.5 maverick but I noticed that my upper ball joints on the 69.5 have rivets and not bolts like the 75 did ? Should I swap the upper control arm on the 69.5 to the 75 ones as well what about the lower control arm ? I hope someone can help me out thanks guys
Rivets are what originally came with our vehicles, bolts means someone has replaced the ball joints at some point and if they wear out again, can easily be replaced. Suggest you take both sets to a good alignment shop to have them check for play/wear and then use the best set for your conversion.
Hey thanks my father inlaw just told me the same thing lol I checked on the web and it looks like the control arms are the same for both years so I would think the ball joints will be the same as well. Thanks guys
