    Hehe i see it now. Was a strange 8 so i thought it Was something Else so if i understand this correctly i have a 1970 maverick nr 267819 but where is it made? That is what the L stands for?

    L = 250cid 6cyl engine
    267819 = 167819th Maverick that was assigned a serial number that model year

    I have added your VIN to the List for 1970. Please confirm your ignition switch (key) is located on the steering column, not the dash??

    Its in the steering column from what i figure out it Was imported to Norway in 1971. There are not alot of mavericks over here. I Know of 5 including mine. 2 With license plates on. Hopefully soon 3 With plates

    It's a true 1970 model, all those had locking columns...

    The early production 1970(known as 1969.5) had a dash mounted switch, also AFAIK no 69.5 got the 250 engine...
