Frank My slab is 30x30 I think that is a very useable size without being cramped.
Yes You can never build it too big, But you can EASILY build it too small.

You need to build it big enough for Terry to store a couple of his cars Then that will make his neighbors your new friends...Plus it would give YOU a good place to get spare parts!

I agree, my idea of a perfect house would be a 12 car garage with an apartment on top. But I am a car nut.
With a family, I have to have a yard and need to consider resale of the property. I have a 2 car garage on the house and a 25 x 28 detached some people don't like it but I have a couple of others that have said if you ever go to sell that house let me know.

My wife and I are looking at a old farm in the country near Tunica, Ms. for our later years (yeah right!) its 75 acres, 3 bedroom house and barn....but on the back side of the property is a big, long steel quansit hut on a slab...50ft x 100ft long, it once housed cotton pickers and a combinder. the concrete floor is in really good shape, and it has 3 exhaust fans in it, a small a c powered office, double sink and a workin shower. The owner retired and is sellin for a good price. He is a friend of my father and has offered it to me. It could be my new home.
Sliding doors on both ends of the building. We are goin to put our house on market in next few weeks anyway. Tired of the city. Wish us luck...Jim

No matter the size it's never enough...you just have to find a happy medium.
I have 4 single bays and another bay large enough to hold 4 cars.
I'd like a 30x25 in my back yard though...hmmmm... :hmmm: I can tell her it was YOUR idea :yup:
Glad your gettin one John have fun with it bud (y)
