I hope they are keeping in mind that unless they know one already, most of the casinos on the main strip have parking garages not flat level parking like at the pepermill or hilton. do you know which ones they are considering??

    money money money money...MONEY

[$$$]starting to sound like an expensive combination perhaps we should go back to the original idea of mavericks only afterall this is supposed to be a fun get-together not a huge show event i don't mean to be so negative but if the mustang people see this as an opportunity to get more funds therefore a larger hotel etc.. than us maverick people may be getting the short end of the stick.

    Patience is a virtue

We're building character here. Their group rate in the past was about $35, in June, and the little calling I did says group rates can be had that aren't too expensive. I don't think anything is about them getting more funds. I know it's tough not to get impatient but I think it will really be worth it to see what they come up with. And opposite of Maverick people getting the short end of the stick, they were actually talking about giving us lower entry fees. I actually think if things got too expensive that they would just stick with the past deal. They know we're anxious to know the details, just hang in there.

He guys. I'm back...kinda. Long story but my I've been taking care of my parents for the last few months. Dad got lung cancer and Mom doesn't get around very well. They don't have a computer at their house and when I'm home I only have time to eat and sleep. I'll try to catch-up on what's going on.

    Hey Mike

Was wondering what happened to you. Sorry to hear about your dad.
You didn't miss much here, still waiting on Reno Mustangs. They've been saying December is their drop dead time for decisions. Well, it's December. So maybe we'll be back on track pretty quick.

    June 10th!!!!!

    Jeez Louise,
After spinning their wheels for months, they went back to plan A. The big Casino connection doesn't look like it happened, although still possible. Date is definitely set, their newsletter guy had to force it at the last meeting. June 10th it is. I was hoping for later but, oh well. Looking like it will be the Diamonds Casino/Holiday Inn at 1001 6th street, north side of town(close to Virginia St.). Reservations is not online yet. Have a call in to their activity co-ordinator, will post as soon as making reservations is possible. Probably $35-$50 bucks a night. Now can get something set up with TopGun Raceway.
4 months to get the '70 ready to go, gives one month for shake down. Ahhh, nothing like a deadline to make things happen.
