    More calls today.

I'll have to get a hold of the guys in charge of stuff. Want to get their schedule as quick as possible, but those guys just aren't quick. I'm definitely on their newsletter list, been bugging the heck out of the poor guy, but he's been great, and it should all be in their next letter(this month). Making a bunch more calls today. I group emailed everyone that looked like a positive. Hope everyone gets back on here. If you're reading along, chime in. Been a while waiting for the date, maybe I'll go back through new members and send out some more messages.

I'm having a bit of trouble with the date unfortunatly! Kids are almost out of school...but not quite which make this date very tough. I think this will be tough on anyone with a family. Too bad they don't have it in July or Aug..or even end of June would be much easier. I would love to come down but its a long drive by myself...

    10h is cheap rates

Well, looks like the 10th is probably the best date. After that is some Volleyball (????) festival that brings about 6000 people into town, then the Rodeo, then July 4th, then yada, yada, yada. I asked the Holiday Inn if they could do the same kind of deal just for us later and it's a no go because of events that fill them up. For getting a group rate the 10th is best, and that probably has a lot to do with why they have it then. I may have to play let's make a deal(pleading family reunion, which just happens to be true, tied in with this trip) with my boy's school too but we are all going to be there. Make up a good story '71 and do a little extra work early with the kids and you're there. Looks like a test and tune on that Friday might be possible at Topgun Raceway. Not special for us but would mostly be for the Mustang show and us, we just pay regular entry. Run all together and such. Hotel rates should be set in a couple of days, event schedule within a week or so.

Well, now we have date and price.

Sneaking up on it. Contract just has to be signed with the hotel, looks like early next week reservations will actually know what I'm asking about, the group rate folks have the contract, just not in the cornputer yet, because someone has to swing by and sign it. The deal is going to be $49 a night, set up for the 8th, 9th, 10th, Thur., Fri., Sat., nights. Any bed setup. Regular rate is 79 on Thurs., and $109 fri. and sat. Holiday Inn, north side of town, fairly close to Virginia St. Don't know yet if they will extend that rate on either side but that is one thing I'll find out when I make a res. You'll just have to say you're with the Mustang Car Club. As soon as it's official I'll post the number. Actually had my card out today because the group people told me it was a done deal, reservations went "huh?".

What is the rules for attendance of your vehicle and such? can we show up each morning and leave in the evening with our car? I ask because i can probably house a couple of people who are tight on funds and also check the hotels around my house for cheaper lodging as well.

I made a reservation. Reservations still doesn't have the Mustang info but they will switch my res. over as soon as they do. I'll be there Thur. - Sun. nights, Sunday not included in the deal. The Mustang show is a one day deal, all day Sat. Registration will start around 7:30. Show and Shine is only $10 to enter. When the registration forms are hot off the press, I'll get one and be happy to mail them around. Top Gun guy is out until Mon., seeing about a t&T on Friday, Mustangs will put it out in their flyer if it works out. Gotta run, more Monday.

    Phone #

For the Holiday Inn is 775-786-5151. Car show is actually in Diamonds Casino parking lot next door. Reservations will be with the "Mustang Car Club" group, when it finally gets in their system.

    In there

Reservations now recognizes "Mustang Car Club" as a group rate. My res. is transferred and they gave me the same rate for Sunday, even though the Reno Mustang deal is Thur.-Sat. nights. $49, king in one room, doubles for the boys in another. For now assume a T&T on Friday, poker run on Sunday, car show Sat, some trophies just for Mav/Comet. Don't know how many rooms they blocked off, but I was probably first. Get it while you can.

I'll probably get there Friday afternoon and leave Sunday morning. I'm coming for the Show only. I'll miss the Poker Run and T&T, unless the T&T is held Friday afternoon.

I'm getting my Grabber all fixed up for the event -- new tires, new sound system, hooking up the Air Conditioning (probably won't need it that early in June). She still needs a new paint job and Grabber tape and decals, but that's out of my budget right now.

What code do I enter to register online?
