No one ever said about a car being in "show condition" , this is a "meet" not a judged so called car show! I don't care if your fenders are missing, as long as you show up , hell rust or no rust, paint or no paint, we all have to start somewhere, now what time are you going to be at Newcastle?, Oh yeah bye the way I will be in Sacramento the night before, will spend the night there, over near Northrige and El Camino , you anywhere near there?

Cool, because I don't have paint or primer on my driver's side front fender right now. :bananaman I hope to put some primer on it by then though. I am in South Sacramento out near Elk Grove, 99 & Calvine area. It would take me about 20-30 mins to get where you will be depending on traffic.

I am planning on coming as well from Santa Rosa. Since we have a second home in Truckee I may just trailer it there and then drive over the hill to Reno (4.11's!). Should be fun!

    Scott:

You should be able to handle 4:11 gear's from Newcastle to Reno, I'm sure the Convoy would slow down to accommodate you, don't really understand why you whould pull a trailer.

    1) because I can
    2) the second house makes it very easy
    3) why drive 4.11's 225 miles when I don't have to
    4) less bugs on the windshield!!
    That works for me !!

    Ok Scott:

    1) Yes You Can!

    2) A second house is always a thing that makes it "easy"

    3) You don't have to drive 225 miles.

    4) How would there be less bugs?

So what are you saying ? Or should I say what are you leading to ?

Are you saying that We should meet at Your second house , top off with gas , after you put on the Bar-B-Q for all, after all Truckee is just a few miles more to drive then Newcastle.

Not sure what you mean, But I'll chip in!

    Tom

:) Truckee and Newcastle are quite a bit more than a few miles apart, (I do the drive weekly) . I am just saying that I plan on put my car in a trailer for the 225+miles to Reno. Less bugs on the windshiled was a joke. (hard to get bugs in an enclosed trailer) No, I was not offering a BBQ at my house. You asked me why would I bother to trailer my car, and I answered. Sounds like a fun weekend..

We are going to try to make it to this show. The Maverick is my wife's (Colleen) car, 74 Maverick Grabber. We will be coming from Idaho, any one from Idaho going to this event? Do anyone know if theres a open class for other cars at this show? I would like to bring my 64 Mercury. Will call for reservations this Weekend.

    Racetrack is a go.

Top Gun Raceway http://www.topgunraceway.com/ has set up a T&T for us on Friday the 9th. It isn't on their schedule yet but will be within a couple of days. It will also go out in the Reno Mustangs Newsletter with their release about their show. Hours and price as any Friday T&T. Mavericks at Top Gun, ooohhhh how silly.
Someone asked about a Mercury, don't know the classes but a Cougar won their Best of Show a couple years ago.
Good to see all the people that are planning to go. Count is up to 8 more or less for sure and 3 working on it. Hoping we at least double that by June, tell your friends.
